A little about me: First and foremost, I am a believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. It is the greatest decision I have ever made. With that said, I am not one to shove my faith in anyone’s face. However, it is what I believe and I make no apologies about it. If you ever want to discuss, all you have to do is ask.
I am also a husband. I have been married to my wonderful wife Elaine for 27 years. We have 2 boys – Chris and Justin. Chris just graduated from The University of Indianapolis wit his Masters in Business and Finance. Justin attends IUPUI and also is studying Finance and Accounting. Having a wonderful wife and two wonderful boys, I know I am truly blessed!
I am a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in Communications where I studied sound engineering. Soon after I graduated, I ended up in the student loan world where I spent 20 years working for different student loan providers. However, that came to an end when the company I was working for decided to get out of the student loan business altogether. I then tried my hand as a financial adviser for a few years before realizing that it was not a good fit for me. I currently work part-time for a small company called So-Mark. We work with small businesses and not-for-profits by providing content marketing services through email creation and sending, content curation, and social site services. The best part is I am working with a friend who started the company. It has had its challenges but I love the work. Additionally I drive a school bus and have found that I enjoy that as well. I am also looking for full-time work. My strength is working with clients making sure their needs are met.
I enjoy playing golf, racquetball, kayaking, bowling, playing online games, and playing guitar. I have also enjoyed coaching soccer. I was fortunate enough to coach both Chris and Justin when they were playing. It was one of my greatest joys to be in their lives as a coach and that continues today as a father.
I also enjoy music. Although I have my favorite musical genres that I listen to regularly, there are very few styles of music where I have not found something that I have not liked. Music can impact me in so many ways and I have come to realize just how important it is in my life.
I serve in a community called the Hamilton County Great Banquet. My wife and I went to the Great Banquet back in 2001 and we continue to serve in this community today. It gives me great joy to see the impact these weekends have on people. There is no greater joy and no greater peace than when you grow closer to Jesus Christ.
